Unpeeled orange slices, caraway seeds and lime juice make these juicy baked salmon steaks a perfectly elegant meal for a dinner party.

Ingredients

1 kg salmon steaks (4 steaks 250 grams)
1 lime
½ tsp brown sugar
1 Vegeta Twist for fish
1 orange
1 tsp caraway seeds
1 tsp kosher salt
4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 Arrange salmon steaks in a baking pan lined with parchment paper.
  • 2 Squeeze the juice of one lime on the salmon, dust with brown sugar and Vegeta Twist for fish, and allow the salmon steaks to marinate for about 30 minutes.
  • 3 Wash and scrub one whole orange, slice it into rings and arrange the orange slices on top of the salmon. Sprinkle with caraway seeds and kosher salt.
  • 4 Drizzle some extra virgin olive oil on top and bake in a moderately hot oven at 200 °C for about 25 minutes.

Advice

Use a brush to glaze the salmon steaks with one teaspoon of honey instead of using brown sugar.

Serving

Serve with roasted potatoes.
