Everyone likes crumbed chicken! This simple recipe for a chicken baked in oven comes from traditional Croatian Međimurje-cuisine; it will spare you from boring dipping into eggs and bread crumbs. Finely milled cornmeal (maize flour – polenta) will make chicken drumsticks particularly crispy!

Ingredients

1 kg chicken pieces (drumsticks or thighs)
60 g Polenta (finely milled cornmeall)
1 tablespoon Vegeta Gourmet Stock Powder
200 ml sunflower oil

Preparation For this recipe you only need imagination!

  • 1 Sprinkle Vegeta Gourmet Stock Powder over chicken pieces. Put polenta in a plastic bag and coat chicken pieces few at a time. Heat up the oil in a baking dish and arrange in chicken pieces in a dish.
  • 2 Bake in preheated oven at 200°C for about 30 minutes.
  • 3 After 20 minutes turn the chicken pieces over and cook for another 10 minutes or until cooked.

Serving

Serve with baked potatos and salad by your choice.
