The filling can be prepared a day earlier and kept in the fridge.

Ingredients

100 g dark olives (Calamata)
4 tablespoons olive oil
70 g grinded almonds
½ teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
1 teaspoons Vegeta Gourmet Stock Powder
15 g parmesan cheese, grated
50 ml milk
500 g frozen puff pastry
1 egg

Preparation For this recipe you only need imagination!

  • 1 Remove the pits from olives, and combined with olive oil, chop finely in a food processor.
  • 2 Mix the olives with almonds, pepper, basil, Vegeta Gourmet Stock Powder, grated parmesan cheese and milk.
  • 3 Separate the pastry sheets and let them thaw out.
  • 4 Spread each sheet with the prepared filling. (The filling should make roughly 3 pastry sheets). Roll 2 opposite sides towards the centre of the sheet and press lightly.
  • 5 In a bowl, beat an egg and with it brush the top of each roll. If prefer sprinkle with parmesan cheese, as well.
  • 6 Cut the rolls into 1, 5 – 2 cm thick and place on a floured oven proof tray.
  • 7 Repeat the same process with the other pastry rolls.
  • 8 Cook in the oven, at 210° C for about 15 minutes.

Serving

These rolls can be served hot or cold.
